Processing Coordinator/Manager
The Processing Coordinator/Manager plays a key role in the organization as support to the Regenerative Production Farm Initiative Director to organize, manage and navigate day-to-day activities pertaining to poultry and food processing. This position will be tasked with managing logistics, planning, compliance and future growth of the poultry processing plant and value-added processing through the commercial kitchen.
This position will report directly to the Farm Initiative Director in coordinating smooth operation of the poultry processing plant and assist the Food Hub Initiative in logistic and compliance coordination generally pertaining to operations, food safety, documentation and implementation of processing goals at Makoce Agriculture Development.
Food Hub Coordinator
The Food Hub Coordinator will support the daily operations and growth of the Food Hub. This role helps broaden local food market access by working with producers, farms, and food gatherers to source products for the hub. The Coordinator will assist in connecting with local businesses to identify potential partners and vendors. Responsibilities include coordinating storage, transportation, and distribution logistics, as well as supporting marketing efforts to promote local foods sold and distributed throughout the area.
Food Systems Institute Director
The Food System Institute Director will lead, develop and support the implemented programs Food Systems designed to develop through community education, community training and workforce programming. The Director will support the development of the Institute: including hiring, systems development, operations, general management, project expansion, and partnership development. The Position will support other staff in the development of creating an annual calendar, work plans, and implementation strategies to implement the vision of the Institute. The Director will also collect impact data, communicate that impact, and plan for continuous improvement and development of the Institute. As a new position in the organization, the Director will need to be able to be a self starter that creates new systems, strategies, and communicates regularly with the CEO.
Human Resources Director
We are seeking an experienced and proactive Human Resources Director to join our team. Reporting to the CEO, you will serve as a trusted partner to employees and management, fostering a positive workplace culture, supporting performance management, and ensuring compliance with employment laws and organizational policies. You will play a key role in promoting engagement, resolving conflicts, and driving HR initiatives that enhance the overall employee experience.
Regenerative Farm Intern
The regenerative farm associate intern will work closely with the farm team to manage and perform labor tasks in relation to the production management of broiler chickens and turkeys. The farm associate intern will work daily around live chickens and turkeys (depending on season) ensuring adequate care is maintained and data is collected pertaining to chicken and turkey growth, health and animal welfare. This position is entry level and temporary seasonal. Selected candidate(s) will be required to be punctual and reliable in order to assist in chore completion and necessary labor tasks in poultry growth management and other duties as needed pertaining to increased production at the Woyute Regenerative Farm. The associate intern will also be tasked with data collection in final product details of processed chicken.
