Richard Iron Cloud PhD, Oglala Lakota was born and raised on the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation. Richard has been married to his Has’anni Arlene for forty-one years, they have four children and eleven grandchildren. A former Director/Instructor at Oglala Lakota College, teaching courses for the Lakota Leadership and Management Program. Richard is the former 2020-2022 Porcupine District Representative for the Oglala Sioux Tribe. Richard provided restorative processes of discipline for students, to assist in the practice of evolving Little Wound School into a Trauma-Informed School. Richard is a founding member of the Oglala Lakota Peace-Making Team. A group of individuals who came together to look for alternatives to the reservations colonial system of Justice.
